2019 CLE Abroad Conference Headed to Israel

Rich in history, steeped in the lore of many faiths and leading nations in innovation, the country of Israel will be the destination for the Chicago Bar Association’s acclaimed Continuing Legal Education Conference in 2019.

Under the leadership of CBA President Steven M. Elrod, CBA members and conference attendees will travel to Jerusalem, Israel from April 1 – April 5, 2019 with opportunities for pre-conference travel to Amsterdam.

“Israel and the Middle East are uncharted territories for the CBA’s annual CLE program, and this location lends itself to tremendous educational and recreational opportunities,” said Elrod, who noted that attendees will be afforded unprecedented access to Israeli governmental leaders and institutions.

The daily conference programming will focus on governance, criminal justice and Israeli innovation in technology and health care. The conference will also include exclusive access to all three branches of Israeli government, including private tours of the Supreme Court and the Knesset.

In addition, the conference will feature all-inclusive guided tours throughout Israel including Bethlehem, Jericho, Masada and the Dead Sea. Tours throughout Jerusalem will also be included to destinations such as the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall. Lodging and tour packages have been prepared at alternate pricing levels to be attractive and affordable to CBA members at all levels.

“We are gearing up for what is certain to be the trip of a lifetime,” said Elrod.
