The CBA’s Alliance for Women will honor women leaders in the law with their annual awards ceremony at CBA Headquarters on September 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Founder’s Award and the Alta May Hulett Award will be presented to outstanding women lawyers who have significantly contributed to the advancement of women in the legal profession or other areas, and whose careers exemplify the highest levels of professional achievement, ethics, and excellence.
The event will serve as a kick-off celebration for the 2026-2027 and will feature a networking reception where attendees can meet and mingle with fellow members and friends of the Alliance, connect with colleagues, and learn more about the Alliance’s plans, programs, and initiatives for the year ahead.
The Founder’s Award, given to women who have demonstrated a sustained, active commitment to the advancement of women throughout their careers, will be awarded to Justine Gottshall, Co-Managing Partner at Info Law Group. The Alta May Hulett Award, named for the first woman lawyer in Illinois and awarded to a woman who meets the Founder’s Award criteria but has been qualified to practice law for fifteen years or less, will be awarded to Eunice Buheler, General Counsel, G2.com.
Justine Young Gottshall is a privacy law pioneer and entrepreneur with over 30 years of legal practice, specializing in privacy, data security, technology, artificial intelligence, and digital marketing law. She is the Co-founded and serves as CO-Managing Partner of InfoLawGroup LLP, a boutique law firm built around specialized expertise and client-focused service, overseeing significant growth in personnel and revenue. She has been recognized by Chambers & Partners for over 18 consecutive years nationally, globally, and in Illinois. She was named IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy in 2025. Throughout her career, she has been an active leader in advancing women in the legal profession through sustained involvement in Stanford Women on Boards, Impact Grants Chicago, and Executive 1995- 1996 Women in Privacy. She received her B.A. at University of Michigan and received her J.D. from Stanford University Law School.
Eunice Buhler is General Counsel at G2, the world’s largest and most trusted software review platform. Before G2, Eunice served as Associate GC at the communications platform Inteliquent, where she played a role in its acquisition by Sweden-based Sinch. She was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis focusing her practice on M&A. She is active on various boards including The Economic Club of Chicago, American Cancer Society, The Hellenic Initiative, the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation, and Cultures for Youth NFP, for which she serves as founder & president. Eunice earned her J.D. with honors from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and both her B.A. with honors and M.A. from Stanford University.
