Place of Employment: Peck Ritchey, LLC
Practice Area: Estates, Trusts and Guardianship (both litigation & administration)
Admission Year: 2011
CBA Involvement: YLS Director; Chair of CBA Probate Rules & Forms Committee
Professional Background: I concentrate my practice in the areas of trust, estate, and guardianship litigation and administration, with an emphasis on contested trusts and estates. I have extensive experience representing heirs, beneficiaries and fiduciaries (both individual and corporate). You can often find me on the 18th floor of the Daley Center in Cook County, litigating contested decedent’s estates and guardianship proceedings. I strive to be very active in the legal community and frequently lecture on various elder law topics. Prior to law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, I graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Go Blue.
Outside Interests: I enjoy watching and playing sports, including golf. These days, my favorite hobby is anything my three-year-old son and almost one-year-old daughter are into. I also love traveling with my wife. Enjoying “Summertime-Chi” isn’t so bad either.
Best Thing About Being a Lawyer: The fast-paced environment. Also, I love the competitiveness of litigation, the creativity it requires and being able to help clients obtain a successful result. Having happy, appreciative clients at the end of the day – or the end of a year or two – is a rewarding experience.
