The CBA will offer three training sessions on December 15 for lawyers and law firm staff to meet the State of Illinois’ and City of Chicago’s annual sexual harassment prevention training requirements. In 2022, the City of Chicago passed an ordinance requiring all employees and employees who work in the City of Chicago to complete additional sexual harassment prevention training, including one hour of bystander intervention training for all employees and managers/supervisors and one hour of manager/supervisor training only for those who serve in a managerial or supervisory capacity. A reference chart to determine which training modules you are required to complete is available on each module’s registration page.
The CBA’s training sessions meet the minimum requirement set forth by the State of Illinois (Illinois Public Act 1010-0221) and City of Chicago (Municipal Code of Chicago Section 6-10-040(b)(1)(C)(i)(a)) that all Illinois employers and employees must complete sexual harassment prevention training annually and is tailored to lawyers and other law firm staff.
The modules will take place online from 12:00-3:00 p.m. 1 IL PR-MCLE credit available per module attended. Each module is free for CLE-Advantage Plan members and law student members, $35 for CBA members and $65 for nonmember.
