Best Moment in Your Legal Career So Far?: Helped create and now oversee Attorneys Giving Legal Advice, or AGILA, a free legal aid clinic providing pro bono services to the underserved Filipino American community.
Best Moment in Your Legal Career so Far?: After prior counsel lost a trial for client, I was brought in to help with Appellate Brief that ultimately pushed other side to settle for much less than trial court’s award.
Advice for Your Fellow Young Practitioners: Seek out Pro Bono opportunities to supplement your practice. If you are not able to get in front of clients, or go to court, or do enough legal writing, you can find many pro bono opportunities that will give you the chance to do so, while also giving back to the community.
