Help Seniors Complete Advanced Directives at January 19 Workshop

The Young Lawyers Section’s Serving Our Seniors Committee is hosting an Advance Directives Workshop at the Center on Halsted (806 W. Addison) on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Held in conjunction with the Center for Disability and Elder Law, the event assists low-income, LGBTQ seniors in completing Powers of Attorney for Healthcare and Property and Living Wills.

No experience is necessary, and paralegals and law students are welcome. RSVP to Maureen E. Loughran, FMS Law Group, at maureen.loughran@fmslawgroup.com. If you are a notary and are willing to bring your stamp, please indicate that when you RSVP.

Volunteers will be sent a link to complete an online training. The Center for Disability and Elder Law will also offer training that may qualify for CLE credit as the event approaches, and the details will be announced to registrants via e-mail.
