Back after popular demand, the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section is hosting its Most Fit Lawyer competition at the Chicago Athletic Association’s Stagg Court on May 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Also, for the first time ever, the Most Fit Lawyer competition will serve as the Young Lawyers Section’s signature Annual Fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit the Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers in the Classroom program, which places volunteer attorneys into elementary and middle school classrooms to educate students about the American legal system. Since its founding in the late 1980s, Lawyers in the Classroom has grown to include over 600 attorneys in 60 schools in the Chicagoland area.
This year, lawyers will compete to be crowned the Most Fit Lawyer and will be tested on their ability to run sprints, relive the Presidential Fitness Test, shoot free throws, and work together in a special mystery event. First, second, and third place winners will receive fitness-themed prizes including free personal training sessions and more! Attendees can watch and cheer on these modern-day gladiators duke it out for the title, while enjoying appetizers and drinks. There will also be a raffle with prizes such as Cubs tickets and a Yeti cooler.
Tickets are $55 for individuals. Firm and company sponsorships are also available. Click here to register.
