Civil Procedure Tip of the Week: Joining Forces with FRCP 20

Parties may be joined in a case under Federal Rule 20(a) if any right to relief is stated with the same transaction or occurrence, or if there are any questions of fact or law in common. However, parties cannot be joined to a case if personal jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction or venue are improper for a claim.
